There was always a fear that the new IT movies would overshadow Tim Curry’s amazing performance as Pennywise the Dancing Clown. Luckily that didn’t happen. Sure, the new Pennywise may be a bit creepy, but Curry nailed goofy and sinister aspects of the character in the book. The ’90s version may not have exactly matched what Stephen King had originally written, but this look has remained iconic for over thirty years.
Over the past few years, we’ve seen the classic Pennywise emerge in various forms, from statues to articulated action figures. The one thing they all were missing, you ask? A voice chip!
Mezo is fixing that issue by releasing a 15″ tall talking Pennywise based on the Tim Curry version. The bright yellow suit, blood-red hair, and the orange pompom balls are all there.
Your every fear – all in one deadly enemy.

Mezco is only showing us two of the six phrases. I really want to know what else Pennywise will say. Maybe one of the following will make it in? “Beep! Beep! Richie!” “Kiss me, fat boy!” Or my favorite Pennywise quote is, “You’re an errand boy, sent by grocery clerks to collect a bill.”
Pre-orders are open now at Mezco. Pennywise will set you back $98 and will ship sometime between December 2021 and February 2022.
Why is no one producing the spider version of Pennywise? Sure, the thing looked silly in the 1990 TV miniseries, but it’s all part of the fun that made the film memorable. Give us Spidey-Wise!
